This is a summary edition. The binding terms are in the subscription agreement you accept at checkout; where they differ, the agreement prevails. Sections 3 and 4 also apply to purchases in the mobile apps.
1. The service
Muzylo is a background-music service for venues: a catalog of original works (instrumentals, and songs with lyrics written for Muzylo that play only in zones where vocals are turned on), venue-specific generation, schedules, browser and mobile players, and a compliance center.
2. Plans, trial and grace
- New accounts get 14 days with Pro features and no card. If no paid plan is chosen, the account then moves to the Free plan.
- The Free plan has no end date: one zone, 5 stations, no schedule, generation or references.
- Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly; a year costs 10 months. Current prices are on the pricing page.
- If a payment fails, a 14-day grace period keeps every feature working; the account then moves to the Free plan. Playback never stops because of billing.
- Paying on the web. Web subscriptions are sold by our reseller Paddle.com, the merchant of record: it charges you, handles sales tax and issues the invoice, and its buyer terms also apply to the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically; cancel any time under Billing and the plan runs to the end of the paid period.
3. Subscriptions in the mobile apps
- In the Muzylo apps for iOS and Android an organisation's owner can buy Solo or Pro through the App Store, Google Play or RuStore. The store sells and bills the subscription to your store account; the price and currency are shown in the store before you buy and may differ from web prices.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions are monthly or yearly and renew automatically: the store charges for the next period unless you cancel before the current one ends (in the App Store, at least 24 hours before the period ends). A cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- How to cancel. Only in the store you subscribed through; deleting the app or your Muzylo account doesn't cancel the subscription.
- iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Muzylo → Cancel Subscription. App Store
- Android: Google Play → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Muzylo → Cancel subscription. Google Play
- RuStore: open the RuStore app → Profile → Subscriptions → Muzylo → cancel. RuStore
- Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by the store under its own policy (Apple, Google Play, RuStore support). We can't refund a store purchase.
- The Muzylo trial (14 days of Pro, section 2) starts when the account is created and needs no purchase. If the store shows a free trial or an introductory offer, its terms are shown before you buy; any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Zones. Solo bought in an app covers 1 zone, because stores don't sell quantities. For more zones choose Pro (up to 5 zones) or buy Solo for the zones you need on the web.
- One way to pay. An organisation pays either on the web or through one store. Change or cancel the plan where you bought it.
- If the store reports a failed renewal, section 2 applies: a 14-day grace period, then the Free plan. Playback doesn't stop.
4. The mobile apps and store terms
If you got the Muzylo app from the Apple App Store, your use of the app itself is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms govern the Muzylo service and your subscription and apply in addition to it. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Muzylo service or its support. Purchases in Google Play and RuStore are also subject to those stores' terms.
5. Playback licence
For the duration of your subscription you get a non-exclusive right to publicly perform Muzylo-catalog tracks through Muzylo players at registered venues and zones, in the territories listed on your certificate. You may not download, re-record or distribute tracks, use them in ads, videos or other works, or play them outside the Muzylo player.
6. Indemnity and its limits
Covered:
- Every track in the Muzylo catalog is an original work (an instrumental, or a song with lyrics written for Muzylo) generated or commissioned by Muzylo, with a rights record (engine, license tier, generation time, QC and review status).
- Muzylo indemnifies the subscriber against direct RAO/VOIS claims arising from public playback of Muzylo-catalog tracks at this venue, subject to the subscription terms, exclusions and limits.
- Playback history with per-track rights record ids is available as evidence for the period of the subscription.
Not covered:
- Audio not delivered by the Muzylo player (radio, TV, staff phones, customer-supplied files).
- Playback outside the territories listed on this certificate or outside the subscription period.
- Reference tracks uploaded by the subscriber (only their musical features are used; the audio is deleted).
- Live performances, DJ sets and events at the venue.
The certificate and the indemnity apply during the trial and during paid periods of a paid plan (Solo, Pro, Enterprise). They don't apply on the Free plan or after a plan is cancelled or downgraded. If a payment fails, the music keeps playing during the grace period, but the certificate is valid only until the end of the last paid period, and is valid again once the payment goes through.
This certificate is a communication document describing the scope of the Muzylo subscription. It is not a legal clearance or an opinion on any third party's claims. Details are on the Rights & certificate page.
7. References
By uploading references you confirm you have the right to use those files for this purpose. We extract only musical features and delete the audio within 24 hours.
8. Availability
We aim for uninterrupted service; players keep an offline cache so music continues through connectivity problems. Maintenance is planned so it doesn't interrupt playback.
9. Termination
You can cancel at any time; the subscription runs to the end of the paid period. You can delete your account at any time: here's how. Deleting it also deletes the organisations you alone own; such an organisation's web subscription ends at once and doesn't renew, and a store subscription must be cancelled in the store (section 3). We may suspend access for breach of these terms after notice, except in cases of abuse.
